What this video shows
What this shows: A short Round Rock video on the questions to ask a door knocker before saying yes: local and insured, real references, and guidance versus pressure. It belongs here because those questions are the core of spotting a storm chaser.
After a storm, the knock on the door is not the problem. Plenty of honest roofers knock doors. The problem is saying yes before asking anything. Three questions sort most visitors quickly. Are you local, with an address I can drive to and a business that will still be here next year? Are you insured, and will your agent send me the certificate directly? Can I see work you have done near here, with homeowners I can call? Then listen to how the answers come. A contractor offering guidance will explain, put things in writing and give you time. One applying pressure will push a deadline. Nothing legitimate about a roof expires because a homeowner took a few days to decide.
