The Roof Shepherd began serving homeowners in May 2025 and was legally formed as The Roof Shepherd LLC in February 2026. It was founded by David Rodrigues, a Round Rock-based operator with a law enforcement background of 16+ years. The brand applies that documentation discipline, systematic, plain-language, photo-backed, to roofs and properties, so homeowners understand what’s actually present before any recommendation, referral, or sales conversation happens.

David grew up in Detroit before coming to Texas, with a background that crosses restaurants, construction, business management, marketing, and technology. The 16+ years in law enforcement built a documentation discipline that does not come from a sales background: systematic, accurate, defensible, and complete, no matter what the situation turns out to be.
Time around the roofing industry surfaced a consistent pattern. Homeowners were being asked to make large financial decisions on information they had no way to independently verify, often under time pressure created by the same contractor who stood to benefit from the decision. The Roof Shepherd is the answer to that pattern: bring the documentation standard used in law enforcement field work to roofs, hand the homeowner a written record before any contractor conversation begins, and let the facts drive the decision instead of the timeline. The Roof Shepherd LLC was established February 23, 2026, in Round Rock, and is built around a standard, not a personality, so the documentation a homeowner receives means the same thing no matter who is holding the camera.
