What this video shows
What this shows: A Liberty Hill roof system past maintenance and into replacement territory, with the conditions that tell you so. It belongs here to show the difference between a repair and a roof that is done.
There is a real line between a roof that needs maintenance and a roof that needs replacing, and it is not age. A roof is still in maintenance territory when the failures are discrete and attached to the roof: a boot, a section of flashing, a run of ridge, a few slipped shingles. It has crossed into replacement territory when the failures are in the material itself across whole slopes, when the mat is exposed over broad areas, when shingles have lost their seal and lift by hand in multiple places, or when the decking under them has begun to give. The distinction is worth making explicitly, because the same roof gets sold both ways depending on who is looking at it.
