What this video shows

What this shows: Why small roof sections and transitions in Leander get overlooked and why many leaks start there. We keep it because the small sections are what a quick look tends to miss.

The parts of a roof that leak are the parts that are not simply a slope: valleys, sidewalls, headwalls, chimney returns, the place a porch ties into the main roof, and any section small enough that a crew treats it as a detail on the way to somewhere else. Those are all transitions, and a transition is where two planes have to be made watertight by metal and sequence rather than by gravity. Field shingles are forgiving. Transitions are not, and they are the first thing worth looking at when a roof leaks and the shingles look fine.
