Venus's adopted residential code says shingle-only roof replacement needs no permit unless the new roof is heavier, but the city's fee schedule, adopted September 21, 2026, still lists a $100 shingle replacement permit. Those two do not agree, so we confirm with the city first.
The city adopted the 2021 International Residential Code by Ordinance 755-2022-04 on April 11, 2022. The fee schedule lists a $100 general contractor registration.

David came the very next day to inspect. He showed me pictures of the damage and answered any questions I had.
