Allen's fee schedule (June 2025) lists a re-roofing permit for single-family homes, duplexes and townhomes at $150. The city's amended list of work exempt from permits does not include roofing. A signed roof installation affidavit must be on file before the roof final inspection.
All contractors must register with Allen for $50 a year. The city adopted the 2024 International Codes on July 28, 2026, effective September 26, 2026.
